Born with a keyboard in my lap, I was practically hard-wired for a life in technology. For this reason, I call myself the reluctant techno-weenie. I don’t remember when I first learned to program, but I can tell you that it was BASIC on an Apple IIe. Now I work in the field of High Performance Computing, but I am also very interested in, and experienced with, programming for the web. I first started this interest in the mid-1990s with basic HTML web pages and now experiment with every Web buzzword that comes along. As geeky as this sounds, I love learning about and trying new technologies in my spare time. Wanting to share my experiences with interested parties, but not wanting to bore my friends and family on my personal blog, I now muse on the technologies I try on this weblog. My main focus here is commenting publicly about web technologies (experiences, tips, tricks, notes), but I may stray from time to time. I’d like to encourage open discussion, both intra- and inter-blog, but request that comments are made in a friendly, constructive tone and completely in the open. I reserve the right to remove any comments that do not meet these conditions or use profane language.
